Privacy policy
PulseFrag shows how your sleep, heart rate and daily habits relate to your Counter-Strike 2 match performance. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: your data is used only to show you your own analysis. We do not sell it, use it for advertising or share it with anyone for their own purposes.
Who is responsible

What we collect
| Data | Source | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | You, when you sign in with email, Apple or Google (with Apple you can hide your address) | To create and secure your account |
| Steam ID or Riot account ID, and your public display name | Steam or Riot Games, when you sign in with them | To create and secure your account and link your matches. We never see your Steam or Riot password |
| FACEIT nickname and CS2 match statistics (map, result, kills, deaths, assists, ADR, headshot %, match times) | FACEIT's public Data API, or entered by you | To calculate your form score and patterns |
| Riot ID, region, and League of Legends and VALORANT match statistics (queue or map, champion, result, kills, deaths, assists, damage, headshot %, match times) | The Riot Games API, or entered by you | To calculate your form score and patterns |
| Health data: sleep duration, heart rate during your matches (a 30-second line, its average and maximum), heart rate variability, resting heart rate, steps, exercise minutes | Apple Health, only if you allow it | To compare your body's state with your match performance |
| Caffeine, water and alcohol logs; mood, energy and stress check-ins; body weight | You | To include these habits in your analysis |
| The average K/D and win rate of your teammates in each synced match | Calculated from FACEIT and Riot Games match data and your teammates' public records | To show how your teammates relate to your results. Only the per-match average is stored; we do not store who your teammates were |
| Your own tags for a day (words you choose, such as "Duo" or "New mouse") | You | To show whether they relate to your form. Don't put sensitive information in tags |
| Session rules, bedtime and reminder settings | You | To show rule progress and schedule reminders on your device. Session rules and bedtime are also stored with your account so they follow you to a new device; reminder settings stay on the device |
We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising identifier or browsing activity. PulseFrag has no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking.
Health data
Health data is special-category data under the GDPR. We process it only with your explicit consent, which you give in Apple Health's permission screen and can withdraw at any time in Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices > PulseFrag. Data read from Apple Health is never used for advertising, marketing or data mining, and is never disclosed to third parties except our hosting processor listed below. PulseFrag does not write anything to Apple Health.
Demo mode
If you use PulseFrag with demo data, nothing leaves your device: your logs are stored only on your phone, or in your browser on the website.
AI features
PulseFrag uses Claude, a language model run by Anthropic, PBC, for three things. Anthropic processes the data on our behalf only to produce the answer, under its commercial terms, and does not use it to train its models. Answers written by AI are labelled as such.
Weekly coach note. If you ask for a note, PulseFrag sends a short summary of your own patterns: rounded numbers such as your average form, how many points short sleep or late matches cost you, and your session rules. The summary contains no name, email address, nickname, raw matches or raw health readings. The note is stored in your account until you delete it or your account.
Coach chat. When you ask the coach a question, PulseFrag sends your question and the conversation so far, and the coach looks up the data it needs to answer: your recent matches, and your sleep, heart rate, HRV, steps, caffeine, water and alcohol logs and check-ins. Because this can include health data, the chat only starts after you give explicit consent in the app, and you can withdraw it there at any time. We count how many questions you asked today, to apply the daily limit. For PulseFrag Pro, and for everyone until Pro goes on sale, your questions and the coach's answers are kept so the conversation is there next time; you can delete the history in the chat at any time, withdrawing consent deletes it, and it is deleted with your account.
Support emails. Emails you send to [email protected] are read by an AI assistant that drafts a reply. A person checks the reply before it is sent, except for simple how-to answers if we turn automatic answers on. Questions about payments, your data, legal matters or your account are always answered by a person. We keep a log of the subject, the category and the reply, with your address stored only as a one-way code; the email itself stays in our Google Workspace mailbox.
A daily automated check of the service also uses Claude to summarise technical status; it receives no personal data.
Payments
PulseFrag Pro is sold on the website by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our merchant of record, which processes your payment, billing address and VAT details as an independent controller under its privacy policy. We never see your card details. We receive and store only your subscription's status, its period and Paddle's subscription and customer references, so we know whether Pro is active and can open Paddle's billing page for you.
The website
PulseFrag also runs in the browser at pulsefrag.com. There, your sign-in session, settings and demo logs are kept in your browser's local storage, and you can remove them by signing out or clearing the site data. The website uses no cookies for advertising or tracking. Apple Health is only available in the iPhone app.
Help improve PulseFrag (optional)
In Profile you can choose to share your pattern results, for example "under 6 h of sleep: 4 points worse, 20 against 15 matches". Only these results are shared, never your matches, health data or check-ins. Totals across players are shown in the app only when at least 20 players shared the same pattern, so no one can be singled out; they help new players see what usually matters before their own data is enough. This is voluntary and off by default; we ask for your explicit consent because the results can come from health data. Switching it off withdraws your consent and deletes everything you shared at once. The AI models we use are not trained on your data.
Anonymous match statistics. For our weekly review and posts about PulseFrag we count across all players how often matches are won after two losses in a row or late at night. These counts use only match times and results, never health data or names, and a figure is used only when it rests on at least 40 matches on each side.
Legal bases
Account, matches and logs: performance of our agreement with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Health data, including health data used by the coach chat, and sharing your pattern results to improve PulseFrag: your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a)). Anonymous match statistics: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)). Security and abuse prevention: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Where data is stored and who processes it
Your account data is stored by Supabase, Inc. (database and authentication) in the European Union region we selected, under a data processing agreement. Match statistics are requested from FACEIT on your behalf using your nickname, and from Riot Games using your Riot ID; neither receives your health data. The website is served by Cloudflare, Inc., which also handles our domain name; it sees technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. Support email runs on Google Workspace (Google Ireland Ltd). AI features run on Anthropic, PBC, in the United States, under standard contractual clauses. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device; we do not use push servers.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account in Profile > Delete account and all data, your account and every record linked to it are deleted from our database immediately. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.
Your rights
You can access and export your data at any time in Profile > Export my data, correct it in the app, and delete it as described above. You also have the right to object, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee) or your local authority. To exercise any right, email us.
Children
PulseFrag is not intended for anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Not medical advice
PulseFrag shows statistical patterns in your own data. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app.
